An advanced scan tool made by a company like Snap-On will allow the user to retrieve all the available fault codes, freeze frame data, and streaming data from all the vehicle’s control modules. Some of the more advanced scan tools even allow users to manually activate components, run system tests, and adapt new parts and modules to a vehicle.

Getting the aluminum versions will significantly reduce weights, which makes them easier to move around.
